The national park is one of the few areas in the world where the endangered mountain gorillas still live in the wild and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Only a narrow river separates the lodge's guests from the lush green foliage of the forest, which is one of the last untouched spots on earth. Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge is not only an excellent base for trekking and safaris in the tracks of the unique gorillas, but also for observing numerous species of monkeys and birds hiding in the mysterious thicket. In the lodge's authentic bandas and with sensational views over the treetops, true nature lovers are completely in their element at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge.
