Rooms

Culinary

The hub of the culinary get-togethers is the central tented lounge with indoor and outdoor dining areas. For breakfast as well as lunch and dinner, you will be spoiled here with freshly prepared dishes. In the afternoon, relaxed moments of enjoyment await you with pastries and coffee or tea. In the late evening, the fireplace becomes a popular meeting place to talk about the experiences of the day and to look up at the sky, where countless stars twinkle. The bar provides you with refreshments throughout the day.

Location

Just a 2.5-hour drive from Rwanda's capital Kigali, Akagera National Park awaits you in the east of Rwanda on the border with Tanzania. Since the reintroduction of lions in 2015 and black rhinos the following year, you can once again encounter the famous Big Five in the game reserve. With its favorable location on the Magashi peninsula on Lake Rwanyakazinga, Magashi Camp is ideal not only for the typical game drives in open jeeps but also for boat trips to observe crocodiles or rare bird species such as the shoebill. The savannah landscape with its wide plains, marshlands and grassy hills is reminiscent of the Serengeti in many places.
