01 Entebbe

Welcome to Uganda

After your arrival in Entebbe, the journey begins relaxed. The small green town by Lake Victoria is calm and compact - ideal for a quick breather. Depending on the time of day, there is room for a walk through the garden, a drink in the courtyard, or simply relaxation after the flight. The next day starts early with a domestic flight to northern Uganda. There, one of the most diverse natural areas of the country awaits you: Murchison Falls National Park.

02 Murchison Falls Nationalpark

Safari & Waterfalls

Murchison Falls National Park combines open savannahs with river landscapes and dense gallery forests. You will undertake classic game drives with views of elephants, giraffes, lions, and antelopes. Particularly impressive is the boat tour on the Nile: Slowly you approach the thundering waterfalls, where the river cascades through a narrow rocky chasm - a dramatic contrast to the peaceful riverbank landscape. Three nights allow time for observations, nature moments, and a deep dive into Uganda's safari world.

03 Kibale National Park

Chimpanzees & Bird Diversity

After a short flight, you reach western Uganda. The region around Kibale Forest is known for its dense forests, views of the Ruwenzori mountains, and its exceptional primate diversity. The first impression: lush green, cool fresh air, and bird calls in all ranges. The next morning, you explore the Bigodi Wetland - a wetland known for bird watching and rare primate species like the red colobus. The highlight consists of two chimpanzee treks, where you experience the animals in their natural habitat. Additionally, you visit local education projects and meet people committed to environmental protection and community well-being - a place that connects.

04 Queen-Elizabeth Nationalpark

Savannah, Chimpanzees & Community Projects

Your journey continues into Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, you search for elephants, leopards, lions, and large herds of antelopes. On a boat tour on the Kazinga Channel, you get close to hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. The focus of this stop is the Kyambura Gorge - a narrow, wooded incision in the middle of the savannah. Here live chimpanzees that have adapted to the isolated terrain. You will explore the area on foot with a local research team. The stay is complemented by insights into regional conservation projects - from honey and coffee production to the evaluation of camera traps.

05 Bwindi Nationalpark

In the footsteps of mountain gorillas

The drive to Bwindi takes you through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park - with a bit of luck you may spot tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. The rainforest of Bwindi feels dense, enchanted, and wild. Early in the morning, you start your gorilla trekking - partly steep, often strenuous, yet clearly structured and with experienced rangers by your side. Meeting a gorilla family counts among the most impressive nature experiences in East Africa. Additionally, various community projects are on the agenda: such as a visit to the health center for gorillas, local tea processing, or training for young people in gastronomy. Those who wish can book an additional gorilla permit or undertake a guided hike in the forest.
