Itinerary
Arriving at Lake Victoria
After landing in Entebbe, your journey begins with a relaxing day in the small harbor town by Lake Victoria. Depending on your arrival time, there may be time for a walk by the water or a sundowner in the garden of your accommodation. The green surroundings, tropical air, and the first bird calls prepare you for the upcoming experiences. The next morning, you will fly directly to the south of Uganda – to one of the most biodiverse regions of the country.
In the realm of mountain gorillas
Deep in the southwest of Uganda lies the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – a mysterious rainforest that is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Two trekking tours will lead you to these fascinating creatures and allow you to feel the magic of the moment. In between, there is time to pause: listen to the jungle, observe colorful birds, or encounter other forest dwellers like colobus monkeys or chameleons.
Return journey
After intense days in the rainforest, you will return to Entebbe by domestic flight. Depending on your departure time, there may still be time for a short break by the lake or a quick visit to a local market. Then it’s time to say goodbye to Uganda – with unforgettable memories of warm-hearted people, dense misty forests, and the silent presence of the gorillas.
