Vaccination Uganda

To ensure that you are always safe on the road, we have summarized the most important information about health and preventive measures for you. These vaccinations will protect you from common diseases when travelling to Uganda:

Proof of a Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for travellers over one year of age. Proof of vaccination must be submitted to the Embassy of Uganda in Berlin when the visa is issued.

If you are travelling with children, a full vaccination against poliomyelitis (infantile paralysis) should be guaranteed. Also, the other standard vaccinations, according to the Vaccination calendars of the Robert Koch Institute, should be up to date. This also applies to adults.

Vaccination against hepatitis A is strongly recommended. For long-term stays or special exposure, vaccinations against hepatitis B, typhoid, rabies and meningococcal disease are also advisable.

Further, constantly updated advice on health topics such as malaria prophylaxis can be found on the website of your Foreign Office.
