Philip Eichkorn
Managing Director
Philip has been at home in the world of individual travel for many years. He started early, working passionately in the tourism industry, and today he is an experienced expert who creates journeys with real depth. His curiosity about different countries and cultures has accompanied him since school and shapes his understanding of what makes a special trip.
Traveling is more than just visiting places; it is a profound experience that allows you to discover cultures, people, and yourself. My mission is to create unforgettable journeys that go far beyond the ordinary.
My most unforgettable journey
Saudi Arabia
My first trip to Saudi Arabia was something truly extraordinary. For many years, I had waited for a visa and hoped for the opportunity to visit the country. In winter 2020, the moment finally arrived. The city, marked by its proximity to Mecca and its own port, was incredibly open, modern, and multicultural. Saudi Arabia captivated me from the very first moment. In Medina, I was one of the first Christians allowed to visit this city, and in AlUla, I had the impressive rock tombs and natural wonders almost all to myself. This pioneering feeling and the numerous encounters, which were often the first for the locals with tourists, made this journey a special experience for me as an Arabia lover.
On my bucket list
Colombia
Colombia has long been on my bucket list, and for many years, it has just barely missed becoming a trip that I urgently want to undertake. The many contrasts, colors, history, and the mix of tropical beaches, majestic Andes, and lush rainforests attract me. Our team already has a lot of experience with trips to Colombia, and my colleagues eagerly sell the destination, so I definitely want to convince myself as well.
Experience & Background
Philip's journey into the travel industry started right after high school, followed by a degree in tourism. In his first years of work, he gained valuable experience abroad and worked on developing customized travel experiences in various parts of the world. Over time, he has built a wide network and has been involved in the planning and execution of trips in over 20 countries - including numerous destinations in Africa and North America.
Encounters on the road have shaped him significantly, such as the first sighting of gorillas in Rwanda or trips to countries he explored early on with curiosity. These experiences continue to flow into his work today and strengthen his intuition about which moments truly touch travelers.
Personal life
For Philip, traveling means not just new places but real connections. Many of his own experiences accompany him to this day and influence his view of the world. He also expresses this enthusiasm professionally by designing journeys that create closeness to nature, people, and culture - personally, carefully, and with great passion.
